Person alert often not working

Many many times whilst a bush moving in the wind triggers a Motion or Activity alert often when someone comes to the door or down the drive no alert despite Person alert being active. Think a ghost must be delivering post or newspapers!

Thanks for posting and sorry to hear if you're having issues about your motion or activity alerts. 

 

To know more about this, I'd like to ask some questions: 

  • Is this issue constant or intermittent?
  • Is the Airplane or Do Not Disturb mode turned off or on?

 

Give these steps a try:

  • Toggle off and on all notification settings in the Home app or Nest app and double check if the Web app has the same settings.
  • Try to sign out and sign in to the App.
  • If the issue persists, try to delete the App, restart your phone and reinstall the App. Then check if the notifications are enabled.
