I've tried everything. There is nothing wrong with the bridge or my phone, as I can get the Philips Hue app to recognize the bridge. However, try as I might, the Home app will not recognize it, so I am unable to control it's lamps, via Google Assistant.
I've tried unlinking the account, clearing cache & data, for both apps and spending a lot of time on it. Nonetheless, the Home app constantly says it has found the bridge & I must press the button. When I do that, it says that no bridge is found!
I also tried to use the "Skip" option but when I click the "Grant permission" button, it says "Could not reach Philips Hue. Please try again."!

Hey tarotray,
Thanks for reaching out — let's see what's going on.
A few questions: was it working before? Can you control your Philips Hue lights using your Philips Hue app? Also, make sure your devices are within the same room and within 15-20 feet of your router while setting up.
Give these steps a try:
Let us know how it goes.
Best,
Alex

It went disastrously and I returned the product. I bought much cheaper bulbs, locally that don't need a hub. Otherwise they are equivalent. I don't understand why people even buy that Philips product. I nearly did then but I knew no better. Glad to have my money back, now.

Hey tarotray,
Thanks for letting us know. To confirm, do your new bulbs work perfectly with your Google Home? Do you still need our help with your Google Nest devices?
Regards,
Alex

Thanks for the concern. Yes. The 12 Euro bulbs from Hema are very easy to set up, requiring no complicated bridge. They allow me full control of all the lighting in my home. The only difference is that the white light is a bit too yellowy for my taste but that's a minor complaint, compared to a Philips bridge that never worked for me.
