Problems the google nest groups

Niv1

The Google Chrome cast groups used to work with Spotify but now music plays on individual speakers but as a group it stalks or has interference and cuts out

Hey Niv1,

Thanks for reaching out — let's check what's going on with your devices.

Is it only happening when you're listening to music from Spotify? When did it start happening? Also, what groups are included on your speaker group?

Make sure your devices are connected on the same network and within 15-20 feet of your router.

Try creating a new group and delete your old ones.

Reboot your speakers and router to refresh the connection.

Hope those steps help!

Best,

Alex

Hi Alex. I deleted the groups and created a new one. It played well and then the problem started again. I also checked if it was just when it played from Spotify but it also seems to have the same group playing problem when connected to news etc. But each speaker plays well when the request is only for that room. Group functionality is when the problem occurs

Hey Niv1,

Assuming that your devices are within 15-20 feet of your router, could you try resetting your speakers? Also, try reinstalling your Google Home app before setting them up again.

Best,

Alex

Hey Niv1,

You can check the link above on how to reset your speakers. For the Google Home app, you can uninstall and reinstall it. Also, can you check if it's working when playing music individually?

Thanks,

Alex
