Problems with google home

Peterwwjd
Community Member

I can manually control my wifi devices with google home on and off but when i add them to specific routines some will only come on and i get this message.> One or more drivices are not available and you might want to set them up again.  I can turn off and on manually in the google home so i know the devices work. Second issue have you ever tried setting up 50 devices in a routine and know how long it takes putting in one by one???? That is why i like paying for apps knowing they have monies to fix problems like these. When was the lastest MAJOR Google Home update?

Hello Peterwwjd,

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry for this experience.

A few questions: what's the manufacturer of your WiFi switches and plugs? Are the smart devices working via voice commands? Was this working before?

Make sure that the smart devices are working when controlled via voice so that they will function well when added to the routines. It's also recommended to separate the actions of the 50 smart devices into different routines since putting all of them together might cause the app to either slow down or crash. Also, the recent Google Home app update was released in early March 2023.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Many thanks,
Lovely
