Remove random local device from home app

How do you remove a device that randomly shows up in your home app under local devices? Don't tell me click this click that and choose “remove device” like other posts from Google I’ve read because that is not an option. So now I have this random device called “Attic TV” that is not removable. Not to mention I have “unnamed device” or other devices on my network I can not remove. Why is is so hard for google to give the appropriate admin rights for something so simple as kicking devices off my network.

I just think I’m finally ready to find a different network solution that allows me to better manage and probably new network eco system altogether. I went with google becuase generally easy to use and wanted a cohesive network. But lack of basic management is just frustrating.

Thanks

Hi Eric_sfo,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community.

That certainly hasn’t been easy for you. Let’s check what’s going on. A few things: Is this TV connected to the same network? If so, is it showing under the other device section in your Google Home app? Does it show when you open the Google Home app to a different phone? Devices that are connected to the same network will show in the Google Home app, but they are not linked under your account.

Looking forward to your response.

Regards,

Juni
