Hi,

I always had a automation wich will play radio on 2 speakers. Since a week or so it doesnt work anymore. After checking the automation settings it shows at the ‘play automatiom on…’ only: device talking to. The option to play on a speaker or speaker group is not there anymore, i can only play on the device talking to.

My devives setup:

  • Nest hub 2 (only using for the mic. bc my soundbar has none)

Speaker group:

  • Soundbar Harman Kardon citation 1100 (no mic.)
  • Speaker Harman Kardon citation 200 (with mic.)

The automation used to be:

  • starter: if i say: ‘Radio’ or ‘Qmusic’
  • Action 1: set soundbar volume to 4%
  • Action 2: set speaker volume to 10%
  • Action 3: play Qmusic radio
  • Play media on: speaker group as described above

There are just no options anymore at the ‘Play media on…’ section. I can only choose ‘The device wich you are talking to.

How to get back the option to play on the speaker group?

Did this ever get resolved?  On the web side, there isn't even an option in YAML to define this at all.  It just doesn't respond or acknowledge.  So, you just hope it does what it's supposed to and it heard you.

I dont know what yaml means, but it was working before like i described.

Why would Google put an option in it to choose on wich device you want to play it, but you only have one choice to play on?

It is totally useless this way…
