I keep getting the response SimpliSafe has a security restriction “ when trying to set the alarm system to away. It won’t take the command. I’ve unlinked it, relinked it, rebooted Google Nest but I still get the same response. Why won’t it work with voice command to set the alarm system?

Thanks for trying to fix the concern by performing those troubleshooting. To further isolate the issue, try to create a new home structure and set up your devices there and see if it will make any difference.

I tried removing the home and starting a new one but I still get the same response-SimpliSafe has a security restriction

After doing more testing, it seems that the command only works when the current Simplisafe setting is "OFF." If the current Simplisafe setting is "Home," it can't switch to "Away." And if it's "Away," it can't switch to "Home." The error is always "Simplisafe has a security restriction." If the Simplisafe setting is "OFF" and you try to set it to "Home" or "Away," it works. But that means you can't have routines to alternately set it to Home AND Away automatically.

@Lcw, thanks for the information, I’m glad that worked for you. It seems like there are some features in Simplesafe that are not yet supported. I'd suggest you submit feedback about it, here's how.
