My Nest doorbell wasn't working at all it would notify me if some pressed the door bell. It showed it was active but had no recording or live video. I figured out that the small button on the back of the nest near the rest hole wasn't fully released, It was getting stuck. I then cleaned and worked it, after that I tried it out and it started working.
