Use more than one default app profile in the same home

Hello every one,

We are 4 people living in my home, my wife and my 2 daughters.

We have Google speakers in the living room, the parents bedroom, the kitchen and in the kids bedroom.

I use Spotify and we have a family account with 3 different profiles : the one for my wife, one for me and one for the kids.

Here are the scenario that I would like assistance with:

Scenario 1 : when we are in the living room and we ask Google assistant to play music, the default account used in Spotify should be mine.

Scenario 2 : when we are in the kitchen and we ask Google assistant to play music, the default account used in Spotify should be the one from m'y wife.

Scenario 3 : when we are in the kids bedoom and we ask Google assistant to play music, the default account used in Spotify should be the one from the girls.

Is there a way to get such a behavior of the speakers ?

Thanks a lot !

Hi FranckDeschamp,

The way that the Google assistant knows the difference between registered Google and music accounts is by using the voice match feature.

Each individual user would need to link their Google account and family music service along with training Google the different voice's being used.

Have a look at the Google Nest help center link below for more information.

Hello Cathal,

Thank you for your quick reply.

I was afraid this would be your answer, but I think this makes a lot of sense in the end.

I have now added my 2 daughter profiles in the Google Home environment thanks to Google Family.

We are all set !

Thanks again.
