WAS excited about my new nest cam but...

So I get all four of my nest cams set up today (nearly $700) and I have just found out that I can not use routines to turn on or off cameras nor can I cast the footage to my TV. Only google presence sensing will turn them on or off. Not all the time when I am home do I want them off. If the kids are playing in the yard it would be great if I could "hey google turn off cameras" or hey google turn off cameras for thirty minutes". You can set up scheduling in the nest app but that doesn't help with the kids playing in the yard and eating up precious battery life. Instead I have to go to each camera and turn them off. Would be a great system if they would integrate the cameras with routines.

Thanks for reaching out.

While turning off/on camera isn't supported with voice command, you can set a Home and Away Routines. It triggers device changes, such as turning the camera on/off. Check this guide for more information. Let me know if you have other questions.
