What a frustrating experience setting up Google Nest Cam

This process is supposed to be simple. Been here for two hours trying to set this camera up. It wouldn't let me link my current google accounts to the camera saying their not migrated (whatever that means), so I have to create a new google account just to set up nest. I do, then it's not letting me subscribe because it's a google account! Isn't this camera called a Google Nest? How can you not use a Google account with a Google product? Ready to take this back for a refund. What a waste of time. No number to call for explanation, only this horrible help forum to which there will be no responses. Not even sure why I'm writing this.

Are you using the Nest app or the Google Home app? If you are using the Nest app, check out this article for more information about migration.
