Why is it so difficult to schedule a light to turn on and off, also to change the timer after it's been set?
It's idiotic u can't just click on the light and have a timer\schedule button and set it on a pinwheel or similar.
Am I wrong?

Hi Phatty,
Most manufactures have their own app that can also be used alongside the Google Home app and these features are commonly found within their apps.
To do the same thing within the Google Home app you would use a 'routine' or ('automation' as they are called in the new preview version of the Google Home app). Have a look at the Google Nest help center link below for more information about routines.

Hi Cathy, thanks for the follow up, i realize the light bulb manufacturers have additional apps but why is it necessary to download another app to the never ending list on my phone? Isn't Google home supposed to be the end all be all?
As for using routine to set or try to change the schedule, that's like trying to write computer code 30 yrs ago. Not sure why it's just not a simple visual process?
