I had 5 cameras at home and at some point, one of them fell and broke. Rather than buy a new one, I just cancelled the subscription, and went with 4 cameras.
In December when it came time for renewal, Google charged me for 5 cameras. Since then multiple calls/chats with customer service has arrived at their answer "I need to buy another camera." So they are basically saying once I have 5 cameras, I am tied to that number?
This is insane. Nest was a great app, but Google is quickly ruining it.

You might want to change the Nest Aware subscription to Nest Aware Gen 2 tier. That gives unlimited cameras and it might work out cheaper for your 4 remaining cameras. Here's the link to the pricing . Nest Aware - Video Recording Subscription for Nest Cams - Google Store
