Cost going from $80 to $100...where are the AI savings...alternatives to Nest Aware

Beyond me why such a high price increase with no real justification including roll out of new, bold, innovative services.  Seems like a cash-cow with captive market who can easily gauge - reevaluating a service that has just launched plans for a twenty-five (25) percent increase.

Wow. Another price hike — how original.

Let’s recap your brilliant value proposition: I’m getting the same exact features I’ve had for years — 60 days of event history, a measly 10 days of continuous video, and the usual “smart alerts” that half the time are just leaves blowing in the wind — and for this, you’re bumping my monthly bill from $15 to $20?

That’s a 33% increase. For what? A pat on the back and a recycled paragraph about “continued innovation”?

Let’s look at the big picture:

  • 2015: Nest Aware launched with 10 days of 24/7 history for $10/month.

  • 2020: Nest Aware switched to a flat $12/month plan.

  • Nest Aware Plus came in at $15/month

  • Now 2025: You want $20/month. That’s a 100% increase in just 5 years.

  • And the kicker? No new features. Just a fluff paragraph about your commitment to innovation, which somehow doesn’t include bumping the 10-day 24/7 limit even a single day after a decade.

  • Please spare me the corporate doublespeak. If you’re going to gouge your customers, at least admit it.

  • I’m reviewing my options, including cancellation — not that you seem too concerned about loyalty these days.

You guys suck!
