This has been raised and noted several time (I can't reply to any of the closed instances) so raising it again.
Our doorbell has our eldest daughter registered as a familiar face. Her sister is 4 years younger and it is impossible to get it to register her as a new person as it consistently "recognises" her as her older sister. All I can do is delete her from the library against her sister's name. I am utterly unable to add her in any way as a new person. No factory reset or deleting her sister from the library will allow me to fix this, it is not learning in any way as it will not allow me to verify a library of images for each sister. I NEED TO BE ABLE TO HIGHLIGHT THE INCORRECTLY IDENTIFIED PICTURES AND ASSIGN THEM TO A NEW NAME. This "move" pictures feature has been asked for several times and yet a year plus later from the first one I can find it's still not there. Please act on these requests and get this feature working so the facial recognition can actually get better. If it can't recognise the difference between two not very similar sisters and won't allow the user to do anything to fix that it isn't fit for purpose!

That is very interesting to hear that you played a part with that process! Thank you for your insight and feedback. An update has gone out to facial recognition and the Familiar Faces feature as of today. Nest Aware customers now have the ability to merge and move Familiar faces in the library. These features enhance user control on managing their Familiar face library. Further updates soon.

Brad

Still does’t work like it should. Still I can’t assign faces to different people, still the doorbell “recognises” different people as the same. Just do something about it instead of simply acknowledging the issue. Sort it out!

@Brad Please stop expressing your sympathy regarding the issue highlighted. Talk to your manager, tell him a lot of people experience the same issue and tell him to fix it. It’s simple really: the cam recognizes different people as the same person and users have no way to teach the system it’s getting things wrong. Give users the option to tell the AI: “ No, you’ve got it wrong. This person is someone else”. Give us the option to move a wrongfully recognised face to another or a new “known” face.

I share your frustration. If nest is Google owned then why isn't nest aware using my google photos "people" database? We should not be setting this up twice.

Hi all,
I am not sure if y'all saw that there was an update to facial recognition and familiar faces, but there was! I just wanted to remind you to update your apps to the latest software. We'll leave this topic open for another 24 hours in case there are any follow-up questions or comments.
Best regards,

The Play Store latest update for the Nest App says 19 July? I can't see an obvious way to update the actual doorbell itself?

I am afraid that we wouldn't be able to process a request like this in the forums. I would suggest that you contact Support for further assistance with that request.

Yes I saw your update but as my Nest Aware trial period has ended, I can’t verify and test if it actually works. Please reset my trial period so I can have a proper test period.
