I want to set up three nest mini speakers in the house for my elderly father to call 911, if needed (he lives alone). I know you have to have a nest aware subscription to get emergency calling in the US. We have a ring doorbell but no nest cameras.
Is the nest hub required? If so, can I have the hub in NY if my dad lives in Florida? How can I monitor his nest mini from out of state?
He is not tech saavy at all.

Hi Barbon0318,
Thanks for visiting the Community. My apologies for the late response here. Absolutely! You can sign up for the Emergency Calling with Nest Aware in the Google Home app or thru the Google Store website. You may activate it in your Nest Mini speakers and Nest Hub display. Have a look at this article and let us know if you need more help.
Thanks,
JT

Hi Barbon0318,
I got you! Absolutely! Your Google Nest display screen shows a wealth of information like notifications, weather forecast, activities, and alarms. For most actions, you can control the screen with your hands or your voice. Check this article to learn more about it.
Regards,
JT
