Moved to a new home and my Nest aware subscription did not move?  How do I get it to move over?

Hello Chasebaker13,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community. I’d be happy to help you with Nest Aware. Let’s check it out.

A few questions: do you have the Nest Aware (1st gen) or the new Nest Aware subscription? Are there any Nest devices still in the old home?

If you have Nest Aware (1st gen), the subscription can’t be moved to a new home. The existing Nest Aware (1st gen) needs to be canceled, and a new Nest Aware subscription needs to be added for the new home.

On the other hand, if you have the new Nest Aware on the old home and there are still Nest devices attached to the home structure, they’ll need to be reset, removed from the old home, and then added to the new home. Keep in mind that all data will be erased on the Nest devices after the reset.

Once the old home is empty, it can be deleted, and then the hanging subscription can be linked to the new home.

Here’s a guide on how to fix an unused Nest Aware subscription.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Best,

Lance
