I see several other posts on this topic but they've all been locked down to further comments. I was forced to migrate over to Google Nest in 2022 after buying two second generation Nest cameras. My other cameras are first generation. (Much better product by the way!) So for the past two years, I kept being very confused about the charges I was seeing. I would get a notice saying an upcoming bill for October then another notice for February. One place it said $150 but then I was billed $200. The billing was on two different credit cards too, so that just made it even more confusing. I couldn't find a number to call so it would slip my mind until the next year when I would have the charge again. It never occurred to me that I was being double billed and I was. I finally figured it out when a whopping $330 charge hit my credit card yesterday (that has since been refunded thankfully) and then I got a google notice saying my upcoming bill for $150 would be charged on February 10th 2024. I finally figured out how to get in touch with customer service and the guy was super nice and helpful, and he cancelled the duplicate subscription to Nest Labs and issued a refund for $329. I'm still out two $200 charges from 2022 and 2023 though. He said he couldn't refund that because it was from a prior year. I'm very happy about the easy refund for the upcoming 2024 subscription, but I'm not going to just let the other $400 go unattested.
1) I was forced to migrate all of my cameras to Google after buying two 2nd generation cameras.
2) There was a statement of assurance that any remaining time/money on the original subscription would be refunded to me. (I couldn't find where I got this refund, but I think I actually did get something back)
3) Google implied, or at the very least, failed to inform me that I would need to cancel the original Nest Labs subscription. I was very strongly led to believe (by the partial credit sentence) that by the simple act of migrating over to Google Nest Aware Plus that this cancelled out the original subscription.
I can tell from a simple search that ALOT of people were, or still are, being double billed for both the old and the new subscriptions. My elderly neighbor (who I installed four Nest cams for several years ago) She is also being double billed after I alerted her to my discover last night.
What do I need to do to get a refund for the 2022 $200 charge, and the 2023 $200 charge while I was ALSO paying Google for the same service on the same exact cameras in those years?

I just confirmed I did NOT receive a prorated refund from Nest Labs when I was migrated over to Google Nest as promised. So I'm owed $400. How do I get a refund for the two double charges?
