Nest thermostat issue

I have a Nest thermostat in my Florida condo. We just left 2 days ago and everything was as it should be. My now present  tenants of two days, were trying to control the AC. The window display now reads..continue set up in the Google Home App. Of course now I am in another state. Did they somehow erase the programs? The Wi-Fi is working but I can’t see anything on my phone . I am in NJ and don’t know how to fix this problem. Can someone help me?
