Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. The Talk and Listen functionality depends on your mobile device or computer and your Nest Camera having a good network connection. If either your Nest Camera or your device has a weak connection, Talk and Listen may not work as expected.
Give these steps a try:
1. Check the volume on your device where the live or recorded video is being played and make the necessary adjustment if applicable.
2. Verify that your audio settings on the app is correct :
On the Home app, tap your Nest Camera> Settings> Audio, and toggle the Microphone on.
On the Nest app, tap your Nest Camera> Settings, and set the Microphone on.
3. When applicable, adjust the volume slider until you’re satisfied with the audio.
4. Confirm if the audio issue happens on other mobile devices or computers.
