How do I see the 24/7 feed in the Google Home app? It only keeps a few hours and nothing from the previous day or days. I have an older model nest camera where I could go back 10 days and the newer one is harder to figure out.

Go to your camera in the Google Home app, and click on "History" at the bottom. You then have a timeline, and a "Full history" option.

Hi folks,

I just wanted to jump in real fast to see if you saw MplsCustomer's reply and to see if you still needed some help on this or if you were able to get it sorted out. If you are still needing some help, just let us know and we'll be happy to continue helping.

Thanks for the help, MplsCustomer.

I did that. It only shows 3 hours of history and only when it detects motion. I used to be able to scroll back 10 days and see everything with the older Nest camera. I’m trying to find a cat that is hiding in my basement/garage and so I bought the new cameras in hopes of finding where she is hiding but the most I’ve been able to do is catch a snippet of her when she comes to get food. The cameras have pretty much been useless.

@Bhoppy1975

I was assuming, since you said you used to have 10 day history, that you had a Nest Aware Plus subscription.

You get 10 days of 24/7 video history if you have a Nest Aware Plus subscription; with no subscription, on the newer cameras, you get event video history ONLY, for events that occurred within the last 3 hours (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9681538?hl=en).

You can check whether you have an active subscription by selecting your camera in the Google Home app and selecting Settings | Video; under "Video History" it should say "60-day event and 10-day 24/7 video history" if you have a subscription.

You can also check your subscription here: https://store.google.com/subscriptions?hl=en-US

I appreciate your help, MplsCustomer and JT.

Thank you that is helpful. So the subscription I had before was with Nest Aware. Do I need a new subscription to Google home and if so I guess I need to cancel the other one as tha old camera stopped working and I can’t get it to connect.

Hi Bhoppy1975,

Thanks for getting back to us. The old Nest Aware subscription can only be applied to one device only, while the 2nd gen Nest Aware subscription can be applied to a home structure. Which means all the Nest cameras under that home will be covered by the Nest Aware subscription features.

Keep me posted.
