I don’t have my QR code and the digital number on my camera isn’t working to set up my camera

Are you using the 6-character alphanumeric setup code that is sometimes printed near the QR code on some cameras, as shown starting about 1:18 in this install video: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/11003780?hl=en ?  Some customers in this forum have reported a delay after entring the code before the Google Home app displays a list of serial numbers to select from, or having to try several times.

I apologize for my late response and thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I'm terribly sorry to hear that you're having these troubles. I understand how upsetting this could be, but I'm happy to assist you with this obstacle. Id suggest that you follow these troubleshooting steps first if possible. 

 

  • Make sure it’s on the same Wi-Fi network as the selected network for the Nest device.
  • It should not be connected to any Bluetooth devices.
  • Cellular data should be turned off.
  • On iOS devices with iOS 14 or later, ensure that Local Network Access is enabled for the Nest or Google Home app.
    1. On the iOS device's home screen, tap Settings.
    2. Tap Privacy and then Local Network.

                   In the list of apps, turn on Local Network Access for the Nest or Google Home app.
