Worst customer service ever

So the price has gone up from 12.oo to 15.oo a month  but you can pay 150.oo for a year. But no one at the customer  service can help you because you have to cancel then start a new subscription. After your month ends. We'll my month started today and I wanted to switch to a year subscription today but am told bo you can't do that. Which is stupid both done on the same day stop monthly and start yearly but it can't be done. Nest is terrible. Will be looking into RING. Also getting ahold of a person is a joke

It is astonishing that you can't change from monthly to annual or vice versa. They do document this:

"You can’t change your billing plan cycle from monthly to annual or from annual to monthly."

Hello DouglassM,

I apologize for the inconvenience you're experiencing. Let me help you out. The other way to change your Nest aware subscription payment is to cancel it first, and then when you renew it, make sure you select the option that you prefer for the payment, whether it's an annual or monthly charge. Take note that you must save all important video clips before your Nest Aware subscription expires since all video history, settings, and preferences related to your Nest Aware subscription will be erased. They cannot be recovered. Google does not keep backups.
