I have Nest Protect and would like my wife and daughter to have access to mange the devices via the Nest App. I see mention of inviting them via the Google Home App and I tried this and it does not work. Also, can I add my Protect smoke alarm devices to the Goggle Home app to be managed?
Thank you.

Hey Rocco1,
Thanks for the posting and I'm sorry for the delayed response.
I'm afraid that Nest Protect sensors can't be added or managed on the Google Home app. Rest assured that our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place you can control all of your favorite Nest and other smart home devices, as well as Google Assistant. In the near future, we’ll allow users to set up previous Nest devices and have full control in the Home app.
As for giving your wife and daughter access to your Nest Protect sensors, you will still need to invite them as a member of the home where your Nest Protect sensors are via the Google Home app if you have a migrated Google account. Once the invitations were sent over to their email addresses, they need to accept them. Take note that they still need to manage the sensors using the Nest app. You may check out this link for more information: https://bit.ly/2WBTAuE

Thanks for responding. The link you provide above does not appear to provide me steps to follow to enable others to manage the Nest Protect sensors using the Nest app. Can you please guide me?
Thanks

Hey Rocco1,
Apologies for the delay here.
The link I've provided contains the steps for you to first invite your wife's email address first. Once done, she needs to accept the invitation via her phone's Google Home app then log into her Nest app using the "Sign in with Google" option and entering the same email address and password. She should now be able to see the Nest Protect sensors and manage them from there.

Melba
