Bring back Nest Protect, First Alert sucks.

Extremely disappointed in @googlenest for killing the Nest Protect. My 'official' First Alert replacement just had a false alarm AND failed to notify my phone via Google Home. This is a massive safety regress. Google needs a real 1st-party smoke detector, not a buggy 3rd-party bridge. #NestProtect #GoogleHome #HomeAutomation.

Did Google sned you aFirst Alert as a replacement or did you have to buy it?  Clearly I'm struggling with Google about their Nest smoke detector

No reply at all from Google other than, "we are not First Alert, you must talk with them".

I will NEVER buy another Google product again. Particularly as it relates to home products. That’s why I have an iPhone and Ring doorbell. 
Very disappointed with Google. Stick to internet searches.

After my expereince with the Smoke Detectors and the Theromstat, I'm feeling the same way
