Having changed my router 2024 I’m back to seeing if I can change the wifi on the app for my Nest Protects which are showing as offline. (I gave up last year as was getting nowhere!)
I thought I’d borrow a friends android phone to see if it connected any better. Unfortunately not!
I’m probably going to go with a different brand of alarms and get them all changed. Or go old school - and get non wifi ones. I’ve had enough of Nest.
There are a lot of threads on here with the same problem so I just wondered as a last resort, has anyone found an answer to this problem?!! Thanks in advance!

I had to factory reset all of mine then set them up on the new WiFi. Ironically, it was switching to Google Fiber that caused this bc Google Fiber didn't allow spaces in its WiFi name...SMH

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I think that’s the only way - the remove them then add them again. The problem is that it would require them all to be scanned again and I have 12ft ceilings in some of the rooms so this isn’t easy. It would require me to get someone professional out to add them all again. I have also read my version (gen 2) will not work after 2030 so I’m thinking of changing them to a different brand completely. Or go back to ‘old school’ alarms so I don’t have to pay out twice.
I’m really annoyed at how useless they have proved to be - what a waste of money!
Thanks again.
