The English voice used in Nest Protect alerts and tests was recorded by my sister.
For me, and for many others who’ve lived with these devices, that voice has been a reassuring presence in the home. Every time the alarm runs a test, it’s her voice speaking — calm, clear, and unmistakably familiar.
Progress and change are both inevitable and desirable I just wanted to pay a personal tribute to the product and of course my sister. Luckily, for me, I will still be able to go and speak to her whenever the mood takes me!!
