Hi all,

I have 2 Nest protects working on my Ubiquity wifi network without issues.

A 3th one has some issues an i factory wiped him, but i cant get it to reconnect to the Wifi..

The other 2 are working perfectly fine and are reporting back to the app.

The 3th keeps giving me a P006 error.

Hi, @Sciencemyson!

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I'm truly sorry your Nest Protects are not connecting; I apologize that one of them is receiving the P006 error code during the setup process. I understand that connecting your smoke alarms is essential to the security of your home. I’m happy to assist you!

I appreciate you taking the time to perform a factory reset. To provide you with the best assistance, please answer the following questions:

  • Are your Nest Protects battery-powered or wired?
  • Are they 1st generation or 2nd generation?
  • Are you using the Nest app?
  • What other Nest devices do you have connected to the Nest app?

In the meantime, please try the following troubleshooting step:

Force Update:

  1. Press the Nest button once. It should say, "Press to Test."
  2. Press and hold the button until the Protect says, "Checking the network."
  3. The LED ring will briefly glow green and then turn off when the process is complete.

If the Nest Protect still can't establish a connection, it will say, "Try again later," and display a yellow LED light. In this case, please try the following:

  • Try to perform a factory reset on the Nest Protects again and try to pair them.
  • Try to pair the Nest Protect using a different mobile device or tablet.
  • Try to connect the Nest Protect on a different network or router.

To troubleshoot the P006 error code, please refer to this article: Can’t connect Nest Protect to the app or Wi-Fi

Please let me know how it goes.

Best regards,

Ana
