Google nest protect product when nest app is not supported after April 8 2024

Hi

I want to buy the Google nest protect fire protection device but I´m unsure if the functionality will work when you need the nest app to make it work?
Google has said it will migrate the Google nest protect to the Google home app but this has not happened yet and now as of April the 8th the Nest app is as no longer supported.

How can I buy the Google nest protect if there is no app support?

The Google Nest app is still supported.  We are still using it for our cameras and doorbells.

It's still really obnoxious that they don't support it in the Google Home app, despite pushing users to use and transfer everything to it. They promised support 4 years ago!!! What gives!?
