So the Nest iOS App wants to verify my account with a phone number I no longer have. How do I totally delete the data in the app so I can set up a new account and start all over again with my new phone number.
Frustrating that I don't see a way to skip the verification or change my number. Is there?
Thanks for your help.

When you have two-factor authentication turned on, you need to turn it off temporarily before changing the phone number used in the two-factor authentication. If you no longer have access to that phone number, you'll probably need to do a factory reset and create a new Nest Account and then reinstall all of your devices.

Thanks for the reply. Factory reset what? The Nest Protects? I do not see any option on the app to create a new account.

These are Google Nest's instructions for doing a factory reset on a Nest Protect:

If you have other Google Nest devices, you can search here for factory reset instructions:

To create a new Nest account, see this Help topic:

You might need to delete and reinstall your Google Nest app in order to be able to use those instructions to create a new account.
