What are my options for getting central monitoring (with dispatch) for my Nest Protect system? It's required by my insurance company

@alonlevi

Central monitoring is not an option with the Nest Protect and most other residential smoke/CO detectors

@Patrick_Caezza - I don't think that's true.

A quick Google search shows that any smoke detectors with a physical interconnect can be extended to support central monitoring via a bunch of third party services.

Also wireless resident smoke/CO detectors from Ring, Simplisafe, Cove, etc have an option to add professional monitoring.

Its hard to believe there's no way to do this with Nest Protect, especially since it's so often rated the best residential smoke alarm.

If it is possible (i wouldnt expect it to work, but idk) I could not in good conscience recommend it.

With the lack of development of Nest Protect software and refusal to include it in Google Home after MANY YEARS, I would not recommend anyone purchase any new Protects, but simply allow their existing units to reach their expire dates, to replace with a product that is actually in active software development. The overall neglect from Google is a safety risk.

I consider my Nest Protects to be dumb smoke detectors, that interconnect with each other, and have very basic function, as the app does not work on my Samsung S22 Ultra. (If support reads this, don't link me to a feedback or contact form.)

After much research I found the Starling Home Hub which offers "Starling Protect" - https://www.starlinghome.io/protect

I haven't tried it yet, but it seems like it fits the bill. Anyone have experience with this product?
