Inquiry Regarding Google Nest Protect API Support

I am reaching out to inquire about the availability of an API for the Google Nest Protect (smoke detector) device.

As part of my project, I am currently using the Google SDM API to integrate various Google Nest devices. However, I have noticed that the Google Nest Protect is not currently supported by the SDM API. I would like to inquire if there is an alternative API available for the Nest Protect or if there are any plans to launch an API that supports Google Nest Protect in the future.

Having API support for Google Nest Protect is crucial for the seamless integration of this device into my project, and I would greatly appreciate any information or guidance you can provide on this matter.

Please don't waste your time on that feedback form. Google has shown that they are no longer putting any development effort into the Nest Protect, despite claims that simply adding them to Google Home is "on the roadmap." 

Google claims to still support the Nest Protect, but the actions they take make one believe it is an End Of Life product.
