Hello all,
I am trying to log into to obtain the network name and entry keys as the labels have been damaged and can't use the QR code, nor can I read the entry keys etc...
I have tried this solution but it does not work:
1. Plug USB into back of Nest Protect, and connect to your computer or laptop.
2. Hold down the Nest button on the Nest Protect until it attaches to your computer or laptop.
3. Open the device in file explorer and then open the .PLI file.
4. Scroll to the bottom and you should find a 6 digit paring code.
5. You can now set up the Nest Protect manually.
Off note:
1- I restarted my computer
2- I reset Nest protect
3- Cable does work with another device
Thank you!

Try using a different USB port? Try using a different cable?
If you have one, try using a different computer?

I did use a different cable (twice) and 2 different ports and a different computer (mine is a laptop, I used a desktop to try)

And you already tried a factory reset as well, right?

As I mentioned before, yes I did try that as well.

Alright, let me ask a community specialist to take a look here and see if there's any other troubleshooting steps or options here.

It would be great if the answer cpuld be posted in this thread for reference, instead of hiding the fix (or non fix) in emails.
