Nest Protect Smoke Alarm constantly showing low battery

I've been struggling for a while with the batteries of my units. I have to replace them every 2 or 3 weeks. It's very annoying but I don't know what is the problem.

Are you using the proper Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA (L91) batteries?  If not, try these.  If you are.. check the best by date on them to ensure they are still good.  If yes, could be a faulty unit
