Nest Protect and home light alerts

I have a fairly well integrated Google Home and recently purchased the Next Protect CO and Smoke Alarms. My partner is deaf and I'm trying to find a way for the house lights to be activated in the event of an alert or alarm. Along the lines of the lights on the alarm. Orange for alerts, and red for alarms. That way, if he's at one end of the house when at home alone, he's alerted if there's an alarm at the other end.

IFTTT no longer supports this and I haven't had any luck contacting Google support. Despite the hours being open, I'm told they're not currently available.

Does anyone have any leads, tips, ideas or suggestions? I'd be forever grateful as we just spent quite a bit of money on this as well as hubs and lights etc.

Thank you in advance 🙂

I don’t think there’s a workaround for this. I had that function until they pulled away the integration with IFTTT two years ago. Really, the only reason I purchased Nest Protect in the first place was for the IFTTT/Hue light integration. I’ve spent quite a bit $$$ on Nest and Hue. 😒. We heard in 2020 that it was only temporary as they were working in their own interface. Still hasn’t happened. 😭
