Nest Protect failing AGAIN

I bought 5 2nd gen Nest Protects in 2021. They are supposed to last 10 years. I have now had my SECOND one fail after less than 3 years, conveniently out of warranty. I replaced the one but am giving up on Nest. I refuse to keep buying new Nests every 3 years. Cheap smoke detectors last much longer.

How do you know they are broken.. mine just started flashing yellow tonight after internet outage.. checks say they are functioning tho...

It was chirping and when I pushed the button, it said that the sensors have failed. I removed the batteries and put them back in...it has stopped chirping and says ok, so we'll see. BTW, my first one that failed did the same thing, I replaced the batteries and it worked for about a day before saying the sensors had failed.
