Nest Smoke alarm eats batteries

cstein64

I have 2 nest smoke alarms. One of them just eats through batteries and like every other month is chirping. I have bought some of the highest quality batteries sold and it still does it. My other one seems to last forever. Is there a software update or something that can help to fix this?

Hi thanks for getting back to me.

The unit has been doing this for the last 2 years that I have been using it. I have actually had it disconnected for the last 6 months as the every few months chirping became annoying. I haven't tried any other troubleshooting techniques as I wasn't sure what to try. The serial # is: 06########## model # 06a. Hope that helps.
