I have 2 nest smoke alarms. One of them just eats through batteries and like every other month is chirping. I have bought some of the highest quality batteries sold and it still does it. My other one seems to last forever. Is there a software update or something that can help to fix this?

Did yo ureplace the original batteries with exactly the same type ? (highest quility doesnt say anything)
The Google NEST Protect only works with Energizer Ultimate Lithium (L91) AA

Hi thanks for getting back to me.
The unit has been doing this for the last 2 years that I have been using it. I have actually had it disconnected for the last 6 months as the every few months chirping became annoying. I haven't tried any other troubleshooting techniques as I wasn't sure what to try. The serial # is: 06########## model # 06a. Hope that helps.
