We are trying to add the Nest Protect to our Google Home base, but can't get very far. The Nest app consistently says that we have the wrong email and password. When we hit on "forgot password", it is not sending us a reset email, no matter how many times we have tried.
Shouldn't it be simple to connect Nest Protect to Google Home?

So @Mokolotivet I think i've either managed to solve or get around the problem.
My account is already a Google account - and my wife is already on my Google Home app as a member. She just downloaded the Nest app - signed in - and she was already in the same nest app as me then! Hope this helps and explains things - i didnt have to do anything extra my end - does this help?

Hello everyone,
@suenwong, @Mokolotivet and Tonycao423thanks I know how it feels when you can't sign in to the App. Let's sort this out. To confirm, have you migrated your account? When you open the Nest App you'll see two options to sign in. If your account is not yet migrated you need to select the "Sign in with Nest" and if it's migrated you'll select the "Sign in with Google'' option.
Also you cannot set up the Nest Protect to the Home App. It can only be controlled or set up to the Nest App. Also Nest Protect can only connect to the 2.4GHz bandwidth.
Looking forward to your response.
Thanks,
Emerson

I had this same problem that everyone is reporting and found a solution by adjusting my web browsers settings to allow apps to redirect to and from the web browser. After I changed these settings I uninstalled and reinstalled the Nest app and was able to get everything working.
