Nest fire Alarms not working with Xfinity new Gateway GB8 ModelCGM4981com

I replaced my old Xfinity X1 Gateway with a new one. I have a GB8 Model-CGM4981com. My Nest Fire Alarm's will not connect to the new X1 Gateway.  When I try to connect it just says something went wrong this device can't be set up, with a yellow exclamation point. These are gen-2 Nest Alarms. They worked yesterday before I disconnected the old  gateway. I have deleted them from my account and deleted the Nest app and downloaded the App again. No matter what I do it will not activate the Alarms. I have taken the batteries out and reset the Alarms many times does not make any difference.

Has anyone else run into this? I would appreciate any help on this. Worked with Xfinity She could not fix problem escalated to advanced tech support.

I appreciate your effort in performing the troubleshooting steps. Can you please confirm the information below?

  • How many smoke alarms do you have?

  • When you reset your Smoke Alarms did you hear the version number?

  • Do you see error codes or messages in the Nest app when you are trying to set up the Smoke Alarms?

Any additional details you can provide will be helpful.
