Old manufacturing date leading to the reduced service life

I just bought a new Nest Protect with manufactured date July 2022. That leaves me with less than 8 years of service life instead of 10 since the device is gonna brick itself past 10 years of manufactured date. I asked Amazon for 20% discount for 20% reduction of device lifespan but they can’t do it. Google is not dealing with this issue at all and I’m getting just a run around. It’s more about basic fairness than money but is it possible to extend life for 10 years since activation or get Google refund/credit?

If Amazon sold you a 2-year-old Nest Protect with less than 8 years left on its 10-year service life, shouldn't Amazon or the Amazon seller replace the device or compensate you for the elapsed service life?

Amazon rep said they cannot give me discount on Nest or guarantee “fresh” devices. Next one could be 3 or even 5 years old. I have no time or patience to order and return devices for the weeks to come. It should be fair and automatic process as there are no other devises on the market that would brick themselves on specific post-production date.
