I recently changed the password on my google account and have discovered I can no longer access my Nest Protect Alarms vis the Nest App. When I try to log on using my google credentials, I get this message: There was a problem connecting to the Nest Service. Please try again in a few minutes. Hours have gone by and I have had no luck in connecting. I am running the latest OS on an iPad, iPhone, and a Mac. I have deleted the Nest app and reinstalled it. Our WiFi is working perfectly as is our internet connection. We cannot easily physically access the detectors because they are located on very high ceilings, but the motion activated night lights on them are working correctly. We need to get these working properly asap.

Try restarting your device and checking your Wi-Fi! 🔧📶

I tried all that many times on several devices.

Followup. I finally got to a live support person and discovered the only solution is to set up the entire system again from scratch which requires removing the devices from their ceiling mounts which will require an electrician. I am thinking about getting a different brad of detector.
