So I purchased a house that has the protect smoke/co2 alarms. I set them all up which went fine. But I am having work done in the home. Where there is going to be a lot of dust from sanding. How do I disable the sensors so that they won’t go off while this is going on?

Hi JasonDee29,
Thanks for reaching out to the Community! I'm happy to help with your new house.
For your safety the sensor can't be turned off on the Nest Protect as it's crucial for detecting smoke and carbon monoxide. However, there is the option to Silence Nest Protect. This will prevent Heads-Up alerts and some Emergency Alarms, but the device will still monitor for dangerous levels. If the smoke level becomes too high, the alarm cannot be silenced and you’ll be notified. If you're concerned about dust damaging the sensor, removing or relocating the device might be an option.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Regards,
Axel.
