Installed 10 Gen 2 Nest Protect units a week ago. 1 Unit got a "Low Battery" alert 3 days later. Assumed must have been a fluke and replaced the batteries with 3 new Energizer Ultimate Lithium L91 Batteries. System checked out good. 3 days later same unit gives low battery chirp again. Removed batteries and confirmed unit gets power when plugged in and no batteries inserted.
Anything to do other than return and replace?

Hey slade_i,
Thanks for posting in the Community. I’d be happy to help you with Nest Protect. Let’s check it out.
If Google Nest Protect chirps or notifies you in the app that the batteries are low after initial setup, it's possible that the batteries’ voltage has temporarily dropped. Nest Protect may also give a low battery alert after the software update.
Follow these steps to get the batteries back up to full charge.
Keep me posted.
Best,
Lance

If you are in the return period, i would return all 10 detectors for a refund. Choose another brand for your safety.
This issue has popped up quite often and has not been addressed by Google. There is also a known issue where batteries become scalding hot.
Nest Protects also do not work in Google Home, and while Google claims "its on the roadmap" it really has no timeline to ever be completed. Meanwhile, I'm now seeing third party alarms like Kidde on shelves advertising workingvwith Google Home.
