1 Nest no longer charges on wall

I have 4 Nest thermostats (all bought last year). One of them no longer will charge on the wall. Charges fine via USB and the other 3 if I swap them charge on the wall plate without issue. Charging if it up fully via usb works until the battery drains. How do I send this one back for a replacement?

EDIT - Actually I take some of that back. Tried to charge it up via usb again in order to take any pictures or pull info from it (left it plugged in for a few hours) and now it’s just really hot. Plugging it back on the base doesn’t seem to have any effect. Top light is just blinking green.

No help here but:

Same-ish problem,

Since an update on November 2nd my less than one year old gen 3 Nest Learning Thermostat has now stopped working three times now due to a battery /charging issue.  The first two times it actually charged on my desk using its USB port.  It will no longer charge at all.

When connected to its base and I check its "Power" readouts though its settings menu it shows:

Battery - 3.852 V

Vin - 32.45 V

Vout - 32.45 V

lin - 200 mA(c)

All appear to be expected readouts.

Prior to Nov 2nd it worked flawlessly.

Yea sorta same. Except mine now no longer seems to charge at all anymore. I wonder if yours will end up the same way too. And can’t find any way to have it replaced. Guess googled plan is to ignore you until you just buy another one to replace it.

I am having this same issue with one of my two thermostats.  One of them holds a charge in the upstairs wall position and the other does not, only recharging via USB.  It is really unacceptable that there is no customer service and no recourse for a product failing for no apparent reason.  Google should be ashamed

No it’s still dead. I moved the Nest I had that controlled the ac/fan to that location so we’d have heat. I put the dead one on that instead. It’s still not charging up (and the one I moved is) so I know it’s not the wiring. Something gone wrong with the unit.
