2 Hour Delay

Hey its super hot out and every time I turn the cooling on it says delayed and then it says 2+ HR. Why isn't it turning on? I have all the eco mode stuff off, home assist away is off, and I have reset the thermostat. The thermostat was installed before we moved in back in 2021.

@rosebud2099 , is the thermostat saying 2-hour delay to start or is it reporting 2-hours to reach the temperature set point you selected?

@rosebud2099 , yes indeed if the air handler filter is plugged with dirt, the poor airflow will cause the indoor evaporator coil to ice up.  You can choose the turn the system mode to OFF and fan to ON to speed up the thaw, but that will put a fair amount of moister into the house.

2+ delay. I cleaned the filters, cleaned the outside central air unit, and let the tube from outside to inside thaw. It was apparently Frozen. I will keep updates. I'm going to wait till later to turn it on.
