3rd Gen Thermosat will not control Hot Water

I have replaced a conventional room stat / programmer with a 3rd gen Nest Stat. Heating works fine but I cannot get the stat to control the 3 port actuator  to allow for hot water independent of the heating...  Has anyone had the same issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi IronCladYeti,

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry if you couldn't control your hot water using your Nest Thermostat.  I'd like to get more details about your HVAC systems configuration.

To isolate:

  1. Could you tell me the make and model of your HVAC system?
  2. Do you have a system or a combi boiler? Is the control On/Off or Opentherm?
  3. Does the thermostat call for hot water?
  4. Does the display show a water droplet inside of a circle? This icon suggests whether or not Hot Water or Bacteria Prevention is activated.
  5. Have you tried any troubleshooting steps before contacting us?

I'll look forward for your response.

Best,

Mark
