3rd gen Nest learning thermostat suddenly doesn't detect wifi

My 3rd gen Nest learning thermostat has been working fine for 2 years now suddenly can't detect any wifi, including personal hotspot. I've gone through all the trouble-shoot fixes and nothing has worked it still says "your network may be hidden or too far away" when there has been no change in my wifi network. It used to connect fine for the previous 2 years and all my other devices connect to my wifi still.  As others have said this seems to be a common issue and the only fix is replacement. Please can you send me a form to request this, thank you.

Hi Heike,

Thanks for reaching out! I apologize you're having trouble with your Nest thermostat's Wi-Fi connection. Here are some troubleshooting steps that might help:

   1. Check basic troubleshooting:

  • Verify the thermostat's battery levels.
  • Look for any error messages or codes displayed on the thermostat screen.
  • Ensure you're using the latest version of the Nest or Google Home app.

   2. Check your Wi-Fi network:

  • Confirm your home Wi-Fi is functioning properly.
  • Try restarting your router.

  3. Restart your Nest thermostat:

Please let me know if you've tried these steps and if you're still having trouble. I'm happy to help further.

Regards,

Jenny
