4th Gen thermo base not powering up.

Installed according to directions, but base is not getting any power. Telephone assistant said Google has an issue with this product and they will get back to me. Sounds strange.

Hi @JerryR,

Thanks for reaching out to the community! I understand that you've been experiencing some issues with the base of your Nest Thermostat (4th gen) because it isn't powering up. I appreciate you letting me know that you've already tried contacting us about this. I'd be happy to help you with this issue.

Before we can move forward, could you share a few details:

  • How long ago did you install it?
  • What type of wiring configuration do you have?
  • What is the make and model of the previous thermostat?
  • Do you have a C-wire?
  • Are all the power breakers on?
  • Did you install the thermostat yourself?
  • What type of HVAC system do you have?
  • What wires have you connected there?
  • Does the thermostat's display show any error message?
  • Have you already checked the wire voltage?

Once you have that information, I'll be more than happy to provide assistance.

Best regards,

Debora
