New 4th gen thermostat installed but I don't have it on my phone or desktop

Thank you for posting in the community! I understand you've successfully installed your new Nest Learning Thermostat 4th gen. However, you are unable to see or control it from either your phone or a desktop computer. I'll be more than glad to assist you on this.
The most likely reason for this situation is that your thermostat only works with the Google Home app, not the old Nest app.
