Adding Device to Nest Account

HI Everyone,

 We have the Nest GA 02082(Sand). Wehn trying to add the device to my Nest home page, the thermostat we have is not available in the dropdown. I am going to call, but thought I would check here before spending an hour on the phone with them.

If you have the Google Nest Thermostat, it installs in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app (and the install process does not just tell you that).  In contrast, the Nest Thermostat E and Nest Learning Thermostat get installed in the Google Nest app but then automatically also appear in the Google Home app (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9274936?hl=en).  I'm just another Google Nest customer and cannot explain Google Nest's 2-app approach.

Do you have the Google Nest Thermostat (mirror display, install it on Google Home)? Nest Thermostat E (frosted glass display, white - install it on nest app)? or Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd Generation (Metal ring, can turn clockwise - install it on nest app)?
